Music-making at MHS is given high priority and children sing, play and enjoy themselves whether they are talented musicians or just happy to give it a try.

Pre-Prep children are taught by specialist staff and Music remains on the curriculum for all throughout the school.

Extra-curricular Music at MHS is strong, both chorally and instrumentally. We have 3 choirs and an orchestra involving children in Years 3-8. Children who wish to learn an individual musical instrument are encouraged to do so and almost all lessons take place within school time.  In addition, ‘Informal Concerts’ are held each term as a chance for young musicians of all abilities to perform.
