Year 2 Outing to the Seaside

Year 2 children had a fabulous outing to Pett Level on Tuesday this week, though the weather was challenging with intermittent rain and sunshine.
MHS 1st place Show Jumping team!

Very well done to the twelve children who represented the school at the Inter-Schools’ Dressage and Show Jumping competition during half term. They did tremendously well with the MHS Red team winning the Show Jumping, beating much older competitors from schools such as Cranbrook, Angley, Mayfield and many others!!
Year 6 Play - The Show's the Thing'

On the Friday that Half-Term started, Year 6 performed ‘The Show’s the Thing’ by Andra Bishop. The plot revolves around the efforts of an amateur dramatic group’s efforts to put on a play in the local village hall.
‘Jason & the Astronauts’ by Gareth Jones.
The Senior Play, ‘Jason & the Astronauts’, presented by Years 7 and 8 proved to be a wonderful evening’s entertainment.
Mister Skellybones

The Pre-Prep and Nursery children entertained their parents the first week in May with their Musical concert ‘Mister Skellybones’. The colour scheme was black and white and the stage looked spectacular with all 120 children appearing wearing specially made tee shirts with their own bone designs.
500th Edition of Newsletter
The Newsletter started being published in April 1995 when Mr Hopkins, the first Editor, started at MHS and launched the idea writing most of the early editions himself on his weekly half-day!
Ocean Commotion

On Friday 12th February Year 3 children performed an enchanting and colourful underwater musical to family and friends.
New ISI Inspection Report
Amid a flurry of nativities, plays and end of term celebrations the ISI Inspectors visited Marlborough House at the beginning of December. Click here to read the report.
Podcast Winners

Our Year 7 were given the task of creating their own podcasts describing the school for our website.
Ski Trip to ‘Les Elfes’
The school had their annual ski trip to ‘Les Elfes’ in Crans Montana Switzerland over the holiday period, with thirty one children and four staff travelling from MHS.
Pre Prep Nativity Plays at Marlborough House

Despite a busy week with inspections, meaning that rehearsals had to be slightly rescheduled. The Pre-Prep Nativities went ahead and were a great success and delighted the audiences.
MHS Conkers Championship

The autumn term brought with it a chance for Marlborough House pupils to try their hand at the traditional game of conkers.
MHS visit Aix-en-Provence

Years 7 and 8 spent the first week of half-term on a French and Classics trip to the fine town of Aix-en-Provence.
