Trips and Outings

We offer a wide range of experiences for the children throughout the year.  We are lucky enough to be surrounded by wonderful countryside and we believe it is important for the children to understand about their local area and what it offers.  So each year the Nursery visits farms and orchards to learn about how food grows and where food comes from.  They delight in picking apples to eat as they wander through the fields,  digging up potatoes for the farmer and bringing them back to school to eat and print with.  As the children grow older we are happy to take them further afield and have visited Hastings Aquarium and Wilderness Woods more recently.

Visits outside of school are a great opportunity to develop the children’s independence and consolidate the learning that takes place in the classroom.

Outings are memorable and much loved occasions.
