Spiritual, Moral, Cultural and Social Development
In order to achieve our aims, curriculum objectives and promulgate our values, the children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is given strong emphasis. This is achieved by links made in subject teaching, an effective Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHEE) programme and excellent pastoral care.

Throughout the school PSHEE and Citizenship is an integral part of the curriculum. In addition, the Prep School follows a programme of discrete lessons taught by the Form Tutors where issues such as bullying, healthy living and school values are a focus.
Year 8 receive specialist taught sessions within their PSHEE programme covering areas such as relationships and sex and drugs education. Other aspects of citizenship are covered in our Leavers’ Programme such as the British value of democracy and the rule of law and liberty. The Year 7 Social Entrepreneur Scheme also provides children with experience of financial management and marketing.
