BOARDING

Marlborough House School Boarding

At Marlborough House School we operate a “Flexi-Boarding” system, which works very well with today’s modern lifestyles. Children aged 8 and above, may board between one and four nights. After their tea, the children take part in a club prior to their boarding time. They would then, depending on the time of year and the weather, be able to go either to the Sports Hall, the IT Room, have a supervised swimming session or just play in the wonderful grounds of the school. Various other activities are often organized like Bingo nights and we even run our own “MHS Factor” culminating in a grand final, where the whole Senior School will come and watch. There are of course the obligatory Boarder’s Outings as well.

Boarding is certainly fun at MHS and although not a sleepover, is a chance to play with friends and enjoy the boarding experience. Children who wish to go on to full Boarding Schools certainly benefit from the experiences we offer and everyone enjoys the hearty breakfast that is always provided by the catering staff each morning.  All of our dormitories which are now themed have recently been upgraded and we feel they are very comfy and homely. Our Boarder’s Common Room has also had a face lift, with new settees and flat screen TV’s.  The caring boarding staff all instill the strong values of Friendship, Consideration and Co-operation in the children and our Boarder’s Motto, “To live in Harmony” is one we try to adhere to. The children are always near to a phone if they need to call home but are usually having too much fun!!
