Middle School Enjoy Their French Day!

Last Friday The Middle School pupils and staff dressed up in the colours of Le Tricolore: bleu, blanc et rouge for their French Day.   5L however represented French Polynesia/Tahiti dressing in tropical garments - even though it was a little chilly for shorts and flip flops!

In the morning, both children and parents sat down to a traditional petit déjeuner and tucked into chocolat chaud, croissants, pain au chocolat and brioche whilst tackling a French quiz (which was written by the Year 6 children!).   There was a French flavour to all lessons and in their French lessons the Year 3 and 4 pupils made Mother's Day cards and Year 5 learnt about Easter in France.   The Year 6 pupils taught a French song to the younger children  in Years 3 and 4 and then thoroughly enjoyed singing it with them.    We are very grateful to our French speaking parents for coming in to talk about their experiences living and working abroad, sharing their photos of their holidays and reading authentic stories to the children.

Merci aussi à tous les profs et à la prochaine fois!
