Our Year 8 pupils enjoyed a wonderful week at the marvellous Skern Lodge in Devon
They really enjoyed each others' company and tested their endurance, confidence and their teamwork. A rather damp night of bivi building and camping out certainly tested their resilience! Rafting, abseiling, canoeing tunnelling, assault courses and, for some, the most demanding but most fun of all, the bridge jump all allowed the children to have a truly memorable week. The high quality staff at the centre (and from MHS of course!) and the wonderful catering made the whole experience first class.
Many thanks to Mrs Fox (on her first trip to Skern Lodge), Mr Judd (3rd year at Skern), Mrs Potter (who had never been camping before!) and of course to Mr Mathers for organising the trip.
