The Nursery at Marlborough House is where our youngest children (from 2.5 years) start their school journey. Harnessing their natural curiosity, imagination and energy we create an environment that allows our children to flourish and learn whilst feeling happy and secure. Situated in a bright and welcoming building our Nursery has its own beautiful, sunny walled garden allowing for plenty of fun and fresh air. The Nursery children love their animals; rearing chicks from eggs every spring, and keeping chickens, tortoises and guinea pigs in the Nursery garden.
Mini Marlboroughs, our weekly Parent and Toddler sessions, provide a great opportunity to experience our Nursery first-hand and meet some of our staff and other MHS families.
Nursery Life
Our highly experienced staff create wonderful learning experiences for the children based on the children’s own interests. Our daily structured activities are practical and creative, child and adult led, with the individual child always being at the centre of their own learning.
Nursery children benefit from the school's specialist teachers, facilities and wrap around care. They have opportunities to explore Music, French or Spanish, PE and Ballet, taught by specialist teachers. In addition, the children love to have fun whilst learning outdoors, particularly their dedicated weekly sessions in our accredited Forest School.
They listen with attentive delight to stories.
It’s amazing how my child has learnt all of these new skills and abilities, but is almost completely unaware that he is learning in any real way, as you and the team are so great at letting them find their way through just having a huge amount of fun. To be starting to read and write is amazing and it makes us so proud of him and grateful for such wonderful teachers.
I feel incredibly lucky to have found a school and nursery setting where the pastoral care and character building is focused on so amazingly and brought to the fore. My son has become so rounded and grown in confidence, and I’m sure that this is in no small part down to your guidance and input on a daily basis.
The whole family has felt really embraced into the school community, since moving from London.
When can I come back Mummy, I love it so much!

Happy Chinese New Year
