Independent Schools Inspectorate Report 2015: "EXCELLENT" IN ALL AREAS OF TEACHING AND LEARNING.  Come to our next Open Morning on October 7th and see for yourself what makes Marlborough House School so special.

“Marlborough House School is Highly Successful” say Inspectors

We are delighted to have been judged as “Excellent”, the highest possible rating, in all areas of teaching and learning by the Independent Schools Inspectorate when they visited our school in June 2015.

A team of inspectors spent a week at our school shortly before the end of the summer term conducting a rigorous inspection that looked at the quality of our teaching; pupils’ achievements and learning; curricular and extra-curricular provision; pupils’ personal development; governance; pastoral care and welfare, health and safety; all of which were judged to be “Excellent”.

Inspectors found that our “broad curriculum, excellent teaching and pupils’ outstanding attitudes towards their learning” helped pupils to “achieve highly academically, creatively, physically and personally.”  They noted teachers’ high expectations, excellent subject knowledge, the creative, stimulating and challenging lessons they deliver and their tireless work to motivate and inspire pupils.  Pupils told inspectors that they “are confident about asking for help” and find their lessons “extremely interesting and enjoyable”.

More widely, inspectors praised our provision of “exciting opportunities [for pupils] to exercise, particularly playing freely in their stimulating outdoor areas” and the wide range of extra-curricular activities, which allow pupils to “develop and extend their interests, abilities and knowledge in many sporting and creative areas.”  The Inspectors praised as a great strength of the school “the way that pupils encourage one another to participate and try their best, delighting in the personal success of others.”

We have produced an online summary booklet of ISI's findings and we invite you to visit us at our next Open Morning on October 7th.
