Through role-play and making artefacts, the children further developed their understanding about the great fire. Soap making, candles, scent bags, writing with ink and making leather bookmarks were just a few of the activities available to try. Teams of children were sent to fight the fire and the whole year group worked together to pass leather buckets between one another. In the afternoon, an archaeological dig meant that team work was built upon again, finding evidence and clues to answer questions about the past.
