We are seeking a catering assistant with a positive and enthusiastic approach, and a pride in their work, to join our friendly catering team.
You will undertake general duties within the catering department; previous experience of working in a similar catering environment is desirable, but not essential.
The team in the kitchen is headed up by a Chef Manager who leads a team of designated cooks and catering assistants. The catering assistants are responsible for food preparation, hygiene, service and cleaning. The school provides breakfast for boarders, lunch for staff (up to 100 per day) and pupils in three sittings, and supper for boarders and pupils staying for after-school clubs. The kitchen also caters for match teas, school meetings and functions as required.
This is a zero-hours hours contract and, as such, hours are not guaranteed. However, the hours that are offered will be between 8.00am and 3.00pm, Monday to Friday during term-time.
There will be breaks for lunch and tea (which are provided). Further additional hours may occasionally be required for functions.
