On Friday 17th March, Year 3 were visited by the team from ‘Living History’ for their Ancient Greek Day.
They were transported back to Athens, where they were guided through a range of interactive role-play activities that explored Greek life and culture. Dressed in traditional Greek clothing, they prayed to the Gods, role-played shopping at the marketplace, learnt about democracy and the voting system, put on a Greek play and created their own sculptures based on the Elgin Marbles.
It was an action-packed day and provided the perfect end to our topic on Ancient Greece.
