Dressed from head to toe as Vikings with beards and tattoos, the children recreated battle scenes and Viking council meetings as part of their immersive Viking History Workshop. They also created ancient medicines, food, clothing and jewellery, and left with a handmade Viking amulet and engraving.
It was wonderful to see all the children so engaged and learning through experimentation and practical activities. The Living History team praised Year 5 for their excellent behaviour and commitment to the workshop - another fantastic experience for pupils at MHS.
