Hello! Our names are Alice B and Grace V, and today we’re excited to bring you another exciting interview in the Friday Activities series. This time, we caught up with a group of students who chose the Carousel as their activity. Pupils move every two weeks onto another exciting activity. This group were taking part in 'Nature Trail'
- Why did you choose this activity?
I chose this activity because I thought it would be fun. - What’s your favourite thing about it?
We found newts and gave them names. - Have you learned anything new while doing this activity?
Newts would dry out if you left them in the sunlight and finding all the brilliant places within our school grounds. - Can you describe a moment during the activity that made you smile or laugh?
Lifting rocks and seeing all the different wildlife underneath. - Was there anything challenging about it? How did you deal with it?
Putting the newt back because it got stuck to my hand. I gently took it off and put it back under the rock. - Would you like to do this activity again? Why or why not?
I would love to do this activity again, I have had fun and made new friends. - What was the most fun thing you did in this activity?
Being able to hold a newt was probably the best moment but I enjoyed all of this activity. - What new thing did you try for the first time?
Finding bugs and insects and not being frightened of them. - Would you recommend this activity to another student? Why?
I would definitely recommend this to all the students it has been such an insightful experience.
It's been a joy to see our students embrace each new experience with such enthusiasm and curiosity. From uncovering hidden wildlife to overcoming small challenges, the Carousel activity has sparked friendships, laughter, and learning in the best possible way. We can’t wait to see what they discover next!
Warm wishes,
