Art Exhibition Success
The exhibition 'A Sense of Place' was extremely well received, with much interest from pupils, parents and visitors.
The Private View was a lovely evening. An opportunity to celebrate our children's artwork alongside that of the wonderful work of our visiting professional artists. The event always encourages lively discussions about Art amongst our children and it is lovely to hear children praising and complementing each other on their artistic endeavours, as well as touching on some more philosophical aspects such as what Art means, the value of Art, and how Art can play a transformative role in our lives! The exhibition coincided with our Mental Health awareness week, so it was also a valuable opportunity to convey to the children, the importance of channelling their minds into something creative and wholly absorbing and allowing themselves to put 'mental chatter' aside.
As usual, the commission from the sales made will be put towards community art workshops for our children and visiting Primary School children.
