Safer Internet Day

Safer Internet Learning

The pupils in Years 3 – 8 have all had safer internet lessons this week.   They took part in a discussion based on the statement: ‘The internet is a welcoming place where I can be my true self’.   They did an activity which was a multiple choice quiz based on Online Laws, and watched a clip based on these Laws and went over the answers.

The children created a diamond where comments from the internet were rated as ‘Against the law’, ‘Crossing the line’, ‘Just a joke’ and ‘positive’.    At the end of the lesson all the pupils then played their part by sharing a heart #shareaheart.   They have added their promise to a red heart which Mrs Reeve has displayed on the windows of the IT room.    The promise is how they will keep the internet a safer place to be.   The  windows are now full of hearts containing a promise from all of the children.
