This term the topic for STEAM is ‘Discoveries and Ideas’. Year 7 made drawings and coloured studies of pollen spores, fungi and viruses, as seen under a modern electron microscope. They have looked at the patterns and surface textures carefully and introduced these to their porcelain spheres. They have been painted in a traditional blue and white style; a juxtaposition with the biological shapes. The results are simply stunning!
