It was with great excitement that the Year 2 children carefully carried their Tudor houses outside last Thursday. The buildings were set up with the bakery in Pudding Lane in the centre of the street. The children watched with trepidation as the maintenance team lit a fire in the bakery. The children watched in awe as their buildings went up in smoke, the wind helping to spread the fire as it did in 1666. The children offered ideas as to how the fire spread and discussions about fire safety were had in earnest. An exciting afternoon was had by all our Year 2 house builders.
