School Challenges for the Summer Term

Introducing our weekly School Challenges running for the first half of the Summer Term!

A new term is underway and teaching has moved online via MHS Remote Learning. We are looking forward to coming back together as a school but until then we are looking for ways to stay connected as a school community. We have come up with some fun challenges for the whole school to participate in and help their House win. These are listed in your Summer Term 2020 'Alternative' Almanac which is full of online or remote events that will be taking place in the first half of this term.

Week 1: Covid-19 Time Capsule

First up is 'My 2020 Covid-19 Time Capsule' which you can download from your Pre-Prep or Prep School Team. In years to come you can look back at what life was like for you and your family at this significant moment in history.

Week 2: MHS Bake Off - Ready, Steady Bake!

Our second school challenge is a bake off! You may not be able to find all the ingredients you would like, so get creative! Don't forget to include your recipe written out by hand.

Week 3: VE Day Bravery Medals

Mrs Fields has set this week's School Challenge, which is to make Bravery Medals, like those awarded during the Second World War. They are a symbol of what was endured then and remind us of the ongoing bravery and hard work of our NHS and keyworkers.

Week 4:  Marlborough's Got Talent - Lights, Camera, Action!

Marlborough's Got Talent is open for online entries this week and you are all invited to treat your family to a star performance at home and send in a photo or video! Make up a dance routine, put on a play, do magic, tell jokes, train your family pet to do tricks or perform your favourite song - it's up to you. Don't forget to think about costumes and lighting too.

Week 5: MHS Camp Out

Whether it's a tent in your garden or a den in your bedroom, join in the fun with the MHS Camp Out as the School Challenge teams up with Forest School this week!
