We are most grateful to our Year 8 leavers for the gift of five flowering cherry trees.

The trees will grow to 5-8m high and, when mature, will have a 5m spread which will provide a large canopy of huge blossom petals - a new spring outdoor classroom!

Thank you to the groundsmen for all their hard work preparing the holes for them and assisting the huge task of taking the trees off the lorry - they were 1.8m high and each weighed 175kg!

The pupils planted the cherry trees a few weeks ago and they now stand resplendent near the cricket pavilion as a lasting gift to the school. Thank you Year 8!
