Anti-Bullying Week

In November we all marked National Anti-Bullying Week and the main theme of the week was ‘One Kind Word’. This is particularly pertinent with the isolation of the last year, underlining how little acts of consideration can break down barriers and brighten the lives of the people around us – which sits ideally with our School ethos of Valuing Self and Others.

The children started the week wearing odd socks to school remind us that everyone is unique and different, and this is something to be celebrated rather than feared.

During PHSE lessons the children have been learning about the definition of bullying and how we can prevent it from happening or feel empowered to step in if we spot any unkindness.

The children decorated a 'Tree of Kindness' outside Pre-Prep that is covered in kind words, written by all the children throughout the school.
