Tell us about your path into your job at MHS:
I arrived at MHS 24 years ago fully expecting to just do some washing up, Mrs Goad our then Head of Catering, had other ideas!
What do you love most about your job?
There is always a lot happening so there’s never a boring moment.
What were you like at school?
I’m sorry to say I was very rebellious at school!
When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Oddly enough, I just wanted to be an adult and make my own decisions, certainly a good example of ‘be careful what you wish for’.
What’s the funniest moment you’ve had at MHS?
So many funny moments, many involving mistaken identity of various sauces – no one enjoys cheese sauce instead of custard!
What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
When I finished my two-year college course, gaining my Levels 2 and 3 NVQs in Food Preparation and Cooking.
What are you most excited about at Marlborough House this year?
I love seeing the displays of the children’s work around the school.
What makes Marlborough House such a special place to be?
MHS is special as it’s constantly evolving and it has a long-standing reputation that gives it a solid foundation.
