Year 5 Science trip to Samphire Hoe

In late June, our Year 5 pupils visited Samphire Hoe Nature Reserve, near Dover, for some science and nature exploration.

The children bug hunted, rock pooled and used their senses to explore the wonderful site which was created from the rock extracted when the Channel Tunnel was built. They were guided by Ranger Paul, a marine biologist, who inspired them all to look closely at the variety of plant and animal life under their noses, which we too often take for granted.
