MHS started a link with the Collège Jean Rostand in Loon-Plage, four years ago and Years 6, 7 and 8 pupils have corresponded with their counterparts ever since.
Due to Covid, we have not been able to meet in person, however, as part of their Leavers Trip, Year 8 will visit the collège in June 2023. To get things started, on Monday 5th December, Year 8 had their first video call with their pen pals: we got to see their classroom and asked each other questions in French and English. MHS pupils sang We Wish you a Merry Christmas which delighted the French pupils. Those pupils who do not learn French are very much part of the project and were fantastic in getting involved on Monday. We look forward to more interaction with our French neighbours.
