After hearing about the devastating earthquake in Syria and Turkey, our Year 3 children decided they wanted to do something to help.
On the Friday before half term, they put on a cake sale to raise money to donate to the Red Cross. The table was piled high with every cake imaginable, and a constant stream of eager customers queued up.
The children’s target of £50 was quickly reached and they were thrilled with the total of £333.65! Many thanks to Year 3 for organising the event and to all the parents, staff and children who baked and donated cakes.
