The last morning of half term saw a roomful of Dingle Dangle Scarecrows celebrating harvest festival in fine form. Nursery and Reception came together to sing, dance and share their knowledge about why we are so grateful to our farmers, and why we give thanks for the harvest coming in.
The children arrived carrying their donations, sang songs that Mrs Townsend had taught them, tested their vegetable and fruit knowledge with Mrs Edmondson and heard all about farming life from Mrs Boyd. Then Mrs Coombs led us in prayer and thanks before we got a chance to dance the Harvest Samba! A joyous celebration indeed.
