FoMHS Christmas Fair

The sun shone and festive cheer was in abundance as the sound of laughter and fun echoed around the whole School at the FoMHS Christmas Fair.

Mrs McEwan and the School choirs started proceedings with some beautiful Carol singing on the Terrace, finishing with a rousing rendition of Jingle Bells, which heralded the arrival of Father Christmas – eventually! The Old Gym was the venue for some fantastic year group stalls, including festive – themed games, the Toy market and Sweetie Stalls. Mr Newton’s Office was transformed into a magnificent Christmas Grotto, whilst the Gallery was home to reindeer food making, cookie decorating and writing letters to Father Christmas. As always, the inflatables in the Sports Hall were a huge hit!  The raffle was certainly an epic occasion with over 30 prizes and more than 1000 tickets sold!

The very busy Hopkins Hall hosted our external stall holders with an eclectic mix of products and items available to purchase and made for a lovely shopping event. Catering was provided by both Hive Horsebox and the Smokey Suya Grill (which is run by one of our very own Year 1 parents). The dining hall was dressed for the occasion and the mulled wine was certainly flowing!

As always, a huge amount of thanks is owed to all those who helped make this such a fantastic event. Firstly, to the year group reps for putting so much thought, effort and creativity into each of their stalls, and of course, to all the School teams who provide us with so much support and help. Finally, a huge thank you to each and every person who donated so many wonderful items as well as their time on the day - it is so appreciated by the FoMHS committee.

We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!
